The above is what I was about to send out & then I heard that we had two hole in one"s today!!!
Congratulations go to Joe Bernier
& Gary Gibbons
Joe Bernier had a hole in one on #8, straight after his shot went in the hole, Gary Gibbons hits his tee shot & hits it in the hole for a hole in one. Back to back hole in ones from the blue tees!!!! That"s 203 yards. It was Joe"s first hole in one & he didn"t even get to win the hole because Gary hit it in the hole also

1) In 1946, Patty Berg won the very first U.S. Women"s Open. A founding member of the LPGA Tour, Berg won a total of 57 events on the LPGA and WPGA circuit during her career. She was named "Woman Athlete of the Year" by the Associated Press in 1938, 1942, and 1955
2) Byron Nelson
set a PGA Tour record in 1945 by winning 18 tournaments -- including 11 tournaments in a row! Nelson won 54 PGA-sanctioned tournaments during his career, including the U.S. Open (1939), the PGA Championship (1940 & 1945), and the Masters (1937 & 1942). He was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 1974.

The tournament will consist of three 6-hole formats- 2-man Scramble, Better Ball Partners, and Pinehurst.

What is the purpose of the golf swing?
Many golfers think the answer is to hit the golf ball! This is true to a great extent, however, Ifeel the purpose of the golf swing is to create a controlled collision between the clubface and the golf ball resulting in a desirable ball flight. That"s it! Yes, I wrote collision, and the collision is the result of a correctly controlled motion. In order to gain a better understanding of controlled collision practice your putting technique while varying the clubface position at impact.
As a drill, take three balls to the putting green. Hit the first ball with a square clubface, the second ball with a open clubface and the third ball with a closed face. Notice the difference in feel, roll, and the direction of the putt.
Continue to practice this drill until you feel you can control your stroke, with the goal of square contact. Keep working on this controlled collision for putting and you will gain a great feel lfor square contact in all other areas of the game.

MEETING CALLED TO ORDER 5:05PM
PRESENT - GREG MILLIGAN, FRED BRADLEY, STEPHAN ECKEL, WAYNE VANDERLINDEN, RICHARD TAMMONE, ROGER MCKEE & RAY GRAY.
FRED BRADLEY PROPOSED THE FOLLOWING AND IT WAS SECONDED BY ROGER MCKEE THAT THE MEN"S CLUB PAY FOR THE SCGA 4 BALL TOURNEY FOR MARK ETUE & DONALD O"CONNOR @ $100.00 EACH AND THAT THE MEN"S CLUB ALSO PAY $450.00 FOR A PGA EVENT HOSING OUR PRO, MILLIGAN AND THREE MEMBERS OF THE MEN"S CLUB. A DISCUSSION ENSUED AND THE PROPOSAL WAS PASSED 6 IN FAVOR AND 1 AGAINST, TAMMONE BEING THE LOAN DISSENTER.
