About David Emerick, PGA
Born and raised in a small city near Cleveland. I discovered San Diego by qualifying for the Junior World Golf Championship in 1974. Moving here in 1979 my professional golf career started at Rancho Santa Fe CC working on the driving range and bag room. I became a PGA member in 1987.

In a relationship between teacher and student both must be willing to work and learn together. Communication and understanding is very important if someone wants to improve their golf game.
Knowing the fundamentals and understanding ball flight laws are a must to becoming a consistent swinger of the golf club.
To understand the feel of a proper golf swing I like to use teaching aids and drills to help the student feel the correct motion. The basis of golf is not how you look but how “solid” one strikes the golf ball.
With Juniors I keep the learning simple and fun. I do expect the boys and girls to learn something every time we get together. With use of video and competitions they will improve.
Improve anyone’s scoring ability by concentrating on short shots around the green!
