Great news for Cedarcrest Golfers!

The Maintenance Crew will not be aerifying our greens until Oct. 2nd this year! In addition, we are using a new revolutionary process called, DryJect.

Aerification is a necessary turf maintenance practice that must be done for the long term health and playability of the putting surfaces. With conventional aerification, the greens are left bumpy for days and it can take four to five weeks for normal playing conditions, however, with DryJecting, the greens will be playable the same day and back to normal within one to two weeks.

DryJect's high-pressure, water-based injection system blasts aeriation holes through the root zone to fracture the soil, while its patented vacuum technology simultaneously fills holes with sand, allowing roots to penetrate deeper. This will relieve compaction, increase water filtration, reach the root zone with oxygen and put a greater % of sand in the soil all at the same time, leaving the surface smooth so that it is ready for play in an hour.

We are excited about this new process and looking forward to seeing great results with less disruption to our golfers.
