News from Jackson Park's Golf Course Superintendent

The Jackson Park turf team will be installing irrigation around the putting green.  This will be a vast improvement over having to place hoses and sprinklers out during the summer.  It will also improve irrigation efficiency and provide a better playing surface. 

3-Day Summer Junior Camps

Our 3-Day Summer Junior Camps are available for registration. Are you looking for a fun activity for your Junior to do this summer. Camps begin in June and run through August. 

The Jackson Park Junior Golf Program is designed for the beginner junior golfer that are eager to learn more about playing the game of golf. Our camps cover all the basics; full swing, short game fundamentals, etiquette, rules of the game and golf safety, in addition to preparing the junior golfer for on course play.

Key to better scores and lowering your handicap - practice more from 100 yards and in.  Work on better contact, trajectory and directional control.  Know your options when on the course, have fun and create games when at the range.  When coaching at an ESPN Golf School, Dave was asked, "How do I become a better putter - Easy!  Become a better chipper and you will make more putts".
