I hope this letter finds your golf game in mid-season form as we have had a wonderful spring. I am announcing that True North Golf Club has converted to a private club in 2012 and going forward. True North is “A Private Destination Club” which is a unique model, where a majority of our members are national and national corporate members along with resident members.

Many of you have supported us in the past and we thank you. We are very excited about our change to a Private Club. With that said we are allowing a limited number of membership preview packages this year. These packages include lodging in our cottages, golf and dining. Since becoming a Private Club, True North has made many exciting improvements and enhancements:

• We have completed two more golf cottages, which gives us the ability to accommodate up to 32 people.
• The 18th hole is currently being dramatically remodeled by Jim Engh, the original architect.
• We have added a short game practice area for players to work on their chipping, pitching and bunker play, this area will be open the end of July.
• Fire pits will be added at the clubhouse patio and at the cottages to enjoy the Northern Michigan Evenings.
• A Boardroom has been added at the clubhouse for private meetings and dining along with other enhancements.

True North is a special exclusive no tee time club where its limited membership can take family, friends, and clients for a special golfing experience and not be bothered by life’s hectic pace.
 

The new ownership group brings strong financial stability and a passion to establish True North as one of the finest clubs in America.
