Congratulations Seattle Parks Sharks 

August was a very busy month at Jackson Park GC. There were many tournaments held as every week had multiple events, mainly on the weekends. Congratulations to the Seattle Parks Sharks Special Olympics Golf Team for their performance at the State Tournament which was held on Saturday, August 16th at Walter Hall Golf Course in Everett, WA. Head coach, Josh Gaskell, took two team members who had qualified for State at the Regional Tournament a few weeks prior. Max Romano-Weller continued his Gold Medal winning streak in the Individual Skills Competition. He is considering branching out to the individual 9-hole competition next year to further test his skills. Ben Green earned a Silver Medal for his efforts in the individual 18-hole competition. This was a solid performance by the Sharks who have won medals in the State tournament each of the last 5 seasons!

Driving Range Update: Most of the heavy work has been completed and now the interior work begins. Over the month of September the finishing of the interior of the range structure is scheduled to be completed. That includes plumbing, electrical, painting, and the installation of range ball cleaning and distribution systems. As of now, construction is expected to be fully completed in early to mid-October.
