It was a busy October with all the Clubs at Lake Wilderness Golf having tournaments for the month.

Tuesday Ladies held their Captains Cup tournament for two rounds. The overall winner was Terry Dalry with a Net score of 138.  First Division was won by Kathy Linn with a score of 153.  Second division was won by Myrna Kreig with a score of 153.

The Seniors Club had their annual Ryder Cup Tournament and after two rounds there was a tie for first place at 159.  The tie was broken the next Wednesday with the format of two-man bestball on the front nine and combined net on the back nine. It was decided on the 17th hole when Larry Vicker and Frank Raiden made up 4 strokes and scored a 96 edging out Bob Petersen and John Walker at 100.

The Wilderness Weekend Women held their Tombstone tournament on 10/18/14 with Dottie Watson emerging as the low net winner at 69. The first division winners were low gross of 93 by Shirley Evans.  Net winners were Cherrie McDaniels at 72 and Micki Goodman at 75.  Second division winners were Kathy Thompson at 98 gross.  Net winners were Kathy Kurtzman at 75 and Tricia Smith at 78.

The Men’s Club held the Players’ Championship on October 11th and 12th.  Qualifiers that played were eligible based on tournament winnings throughout the year.  The winners are as follows:

The tournament was highlighted by a “hole in one” by Korey Cutlip on #16.
